Elise Whitworth is prepared and ready to serve
on the Duluth City Council starting January 11, 2010

Elise Whitworth for Duluth City Council Post 3Elise decided to run for City Council in January of this year. To prepare, she has trained in the City of Duluth’s L.E.A.D.S. program and Big MAC (Mayor’s Advisory Council). In addition, she has spent this year regularly attending Council work sessions and Council, Board, and various community organization meetings, and has reviewed council minutes over the past two years. She has met with City staff and business owners, and listened to citizens as a way of becoming educated about challenges the Duluth community is facing so that she would be prepared and ready to serve on the Council starting January 11, 2010.

Elise strongly believes that leadership is about serving the people from a firm foundation of core values, and serving means:

  • Integrity
  • Being accessible to Duluth citizens
  • Being informed on issues impacting families and businesses
  • Preserving and advancing principles and values of faith, family, and flag
  • Facilitating family and community wholeness and economic success
  • Involving citizens in decision making process
  • Diligently considering all the facts and decisive use of common sense

A vote for Elise Whitworth is a vote in favor of Duluth’s families and community.
